The EAAE Congress takes place every 3 years.
The process of selecting a congress site starts by members of the Association who declare that they have an interest in organising the Congress. In practice these are always active members that have proven skills by organising an EAAE Seminar or comparable events.
This is then followed up by preparing a 'bid book' that provides information on the location proposed, the Congress facility, the accommodation, the time plan of the congress, the publication of the proceedings and the Congress fee, as well as some other items. This activity is carried out 4 years before the date of the Congress.
The Board of the EAAE is now inviting bids to organise the EAAE Congress in 2014. The congress will be as a follow up of congresses in Copenhagen (2005), Gent (2008) and Zurich (2011), and has to be organised in more or less the same format. Bids have to be send to the EAAE Secretariat by October 1, 2010 the latest. The bid should include a cost estimation using the template attached to this page. A decision will be taken by spring 2011 and will be announced at the Congress in Zurich, August 2011.
