The European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) brings together agricultural economists and others interested in the problems of the agricultural and food industries and rural development in Europe. The main objectives of the Association are:
(a)  the furtherance of knowledge and understanding of agricultural economics, especially in the European context;
(b)  the exchange of experience, ideas and information between agricultural economists.

Our principal activities include the holding of a triennial Congress on a general theme (next one in 2014 in Slovenia), the organization of seminars devoted to more specific subjects and the publication of an electronic newsflash and the publication 'EuroChoices'. The European Review of Agricultural Economics (ERAE) is the official journal of the Association.

Your membership gives you the right to visit our activities, to order our publications at a discount, to benefit from the news in our newsflashes on events, publications and job openings, and to have access to the members-only part of this website with information on your colleagues.

E-mail Print PDF

The EAAE Board is now inviting bids from national associations and/or university and research institutes to hold the 2017 EAAE Congress. The Board has prepared a document which sets out the criteria on which potential bids will be evaluated. The criteria include the overall costs to participants, the expertise and previous EAAE involvement of the local organising committee, and the attractiveness of the region/location, of the congress site and the side programme.

The closing date for bids is 1 December 2013. Further details of the bidding criteria and the budget template which bidders are asked to complete can be found on the Association website.
