The European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) brings together agricultural economists and others interested in the problems of the agricultural and food industries and rural development in Europe. The main objectives of the Association are:
(a)  the furtherance of knowledge and understanding of agricultural economics, especially in the European context;
(b)  the exchange of experience, ideas and information between agricultural economists.

Our principal activities include the holding of a triennial Congress on a general theme (next one in 2011 in Zurich), the organization of seminars devoted to more specific subjects and the publication of an electronic newsflash and the publication 'EuroChoices'. The European Review of Agricultural Economics (ERAE) is the official journal of the Association.

Your membership gives you the right to visit our activities, to order our publications at a discount, to benefit from the news in our newsflashes on events, publications and job openings, and to have access to the members-only part of this website with information on your colleagues.

In the Newsflash from May 2010 (78) we announced that the Board had arranged free electronic access for the EAAE members to EuroChoices. We are in the final stage now to make this possible on the EAAE website. If the free electronic access to Eurochoices is online we will announce this on the website.

The online membership database is working properly now! The secretariat and the webmaster spent quite some work on this but the result is that you can update your information online now. In case you forgot how to do that: the homepage on the website displays the login box in the left hand panel and you can click on instructions in case you forgot your login name or your password (in that case our computer can send you easily a new one).
So please check your online information about your membership and it would be nice if you add a photo (called avatar). If you have problems with the log in or other issues please contact the secretariat ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
